In their words
What it is like to build a home with AURAX, from the people who live in them.
Nabeel SamadClient, The Vault & Light and In Light, Noe ValleyI’ve had the privilege of working with Maryam on two large-scale projects in Noe Valley, each close to 5,000 square feet and with a modern design direction. Throughout both, Maryam consistently impressed me with her strong design language; she has a clear, refined aesthetic sense that balances modern expression with livability and warmth.
What stands out most is her hard work and deep planning knowledge. She’s meticulous about details, but also able to step back and see the big picture, making sure the design intent carries through from concept to execution. Maryam also brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to navigating the complexities of entitlement, planning, and construction, which makes her not only a talented designer but also a highly effective project partner.
I’d strongly recommend Maryam for anyone looking to take on a substantial residential project. She brings creativity, rigor, and dedication in equal measure: qualities that made a major difference in both of my projects.

Michael KramerDeveloper and interior designer, The Vault & Light and In LightI’ve worked with Maryam on two projects in Noe Valley and will continue to on future projects. Maryam is very easy to work with and has demonstrated amazing design language as well as deep knowledge of the San Francisco building codes and permitting process.
Afshin DehghanClient, From Within, San FranciscoI had the pleasure of working with Maryam for my construction project in San Francisco in 2023. It was my first major remodel project. Maryam played a key role in guiding me through the steps, from planning to permits and beyond. Right after the purchase, I worked with her on the planning; my house was missing the plans from the city, so we worked together to do all the measurements and create a working baseline. She spent countless hours sitting with me, interpreting my crazy ideas with patience, and she was extremely accommodating. She truly had the right vision for this job, and her professional qualities are very evident when it comes to execution. She accommodated every site visit in order to guide the contractor through each tiny detail, as there were some tricky designs in the plans. She is also well connected and was instrumental in the permitting process. Overall, I can’t say enough good about Maryam and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone. If you are looking for someone who loves her job, is extremely knowledgeable, and will love your project like it was hers, you should look no further.
